Uganda Hortech Limited, commonly known as UHL, was established in the year 1993, and was the first to venture into flowers and vegetables sector in Uganda for the export market. The state-of-the-art facility grows and tenders eight exquisite variety of sweetheart and the intermediate roses. The breathtaking beauty of nature surrounds UHL and covers more than ten hectares (10 Ha) of green house area, located at Lugazi in central Uganda.

UHL is affiliated to MPS ( Milieu Programma Sierteelt), Netherlands 'MPS -ABC is an international accredited environment standard based on registration. The goal of MPS is to monitor participating companies reduce their impact on the environment. The focus remains to minimize and stay within the limits.

MPS is not only concerned with the environment, but also plays a major in the safety, health and conditions of employment.

UHL, besides supporting the community around is also a member of Uganda Flower Exporters Association( UFEA), and exports more than eighteen (18) million stems per year to the European market.
